MIAMI, FLA. – TENS Magazine photographed one of the most visually uncompromising reinterpretations of the modern Ford GT: the LeMansory, a limited-run complete conversion by German luxury tuner Mansory. The images were captured during the Vice City District 4th of July Pop-Up Hotel on Ocean Drive in South Beach and at Limited Spec, Mansory’s Miami distributor.
Built to mark Mansory’s 30th anniversary, the LeMansory takes Ford’s endurance-racing-inspired supercar into another visual category. Its exterior is completely reworked with bespoke full-carbon-fibre bodywork, reshaped exterior panels, enlarged air intakes, a prominent rear wing and a distinctive four-element LED headlight arrangement. The result is deliberately more confrontational than the standard Ford GT, with every surface designed to make an impression.
The transformation is not limited to appearance. Mansory increased output from the Ford GT’s twin-turbocharged V6 to 710 horsepower and 840 Nm of torque. The company quotes a top speed of 354 km/h, or about 220 mph. Only three examples of the original LeMansory conversion were planned worldwide, making the car a rare sight even in Miami’s exceptionally crowded exotic-car scene.
At Limited Spec and later on Ocean Drive during the Vice City District Pop-Up Hotel, the LeMansory found two fitting Miami backdrops. Against South Beach’s Art Deco architecture, its sharp carbon surfaces, extreme proportions and race-bred Ford GT foundations made a statement with little interest in understatement.
For TENS Magazine’s photo set, the story is as much about setting as it is about specification. The LeMansory is a machine created to be seen, and South Beach provided exactly the right stage.
