By TENS Magazine Editorial Staff

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Miami Swim Week® The Shows officially launched its 2026 edition on Wednesday, May 27, at the Mondrian South Beach, blending high-fashion runway presentations with a charitable mission supporting The Little Lighthouse Foundation.

The waterfront venue set the stage for an evening that highlighted resortwear, swimwear, and international design talent, drawing industry professionals, media, and fashion enthusiasts to South Beach as the week-long event runs through May 31.

Designers Ema Savahl, Leila Denise, and Sandra Amarotto (Amarotto Swimwear) presented their collections on opening night, each bringing a distinct perspective to the resort and swimwear category.

Ema Savahl’s Mythological Collection

Ema Savahl opened the shows with an ethereal collection inspired by Persephone, the Greek goddess embodying themes of light and darkness, spring and the underworld. The designs featured poetic silhouettes that balanced softness with strength, incorporating flowing fabrics, atmospheric detailing, and a cinematic quality. The presentation emphasized emotional storytelling through fashion, highlighting transformation and feminine power.

Leila Denise’s Glamorous Resortwear

Leila Denise followed with a sparkling resortwear lineup focused on glamour and destination luxury. The collection emphasized shine, confidence, and evening-ready pieces suited for Miami’s seamless transition from daytime to nightlife. The vibrant, highly visual looks targeted women seeking polished, celebratory styles for resort settings.

Sandra Amarotto’s Butterfly-Inspired Designs

Sandra Amarotto closed the designer presentations with butterfly inspired resortwear that fused international couture sensibility with wearable accessibility. The Colombian designer’s collection, known for handmade macramé and crochet techniques, delivered graceful movement, lightness, and sophistication. Pieces were designed for real-world destinations, from Miami beach clubs to international escapes, striking a balance between artistic expression and practicality.

The opening night directly benefited The Little Lighthouse Foundation, a nonprofit supporting underserved children and families in South Florida. The partnership underscores Miami Swim Week’s growing emphasis on social impact through its “Miami Swim Week Cares” initiative.

Miami as a Global Fashion Hub

Miami Swim Week® The Shows features more than 60 runway presentations and over 150 designers from countries including the U.K., Colombia, Italy, Brazil, Australia, and Cameroon. The event positions Miami as a key destination for swim and resortwear, extending beyond fashion into culture, travel, beauty, and nightlife.

The 2026 season continues through Sunday, May 31, with additional shows, industry panels, brand activations, and events at the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach, Miami.
